Johnny Jet is fresh from a trip back east to attend the travel related "Freddy Awards." Alaska Airlines received top honors as the best airline. Meanwhile, United settled with Doctor Dow after they beat him and dragged him off the airplane. The settlement is undisclosed, but Johnny Jet guesses it was at least $10 million. The incident also prompted changes in their policies to bump passengers, including offering up to $10,000 to get you to give up your seat.
Leo says that he's decided not to go to Cuba because of the political situation around the world. Johnny says that issue isn't really in Cuba, especially for media people. It's more the infrastructure. There isn't any Wi-Fi, and the hotels are old and very expensive.

The latest on travel ban: Four government subsidized airlines flying from the middle east cannot bring electronic devices, other than a phone, in the cabin. All other gear must be checked when flying into the United States because of concerns of terrorism. Delta, American and United, on the other hand, aren't subject to this ban. Johnny Jet says business travelers like himself get their work done on those long flights, so the ban is going to be problematic.
