What's an alternative to Photoshop on Creative Cloud?

Rita bought a subscription to Adobe Photoshop, but she doesn't want to renew it. Is there an alternative she can use that doesn't require a subscription? Leo says that Adobe Photoshop Elements will give her about 80% of everything Adobe Creative Cloud has. It's only about $80. For most people it's good enough and she doesn't have to renew it every year or month.

Leo says that Photoshop is available on both Mac or PC. Les is on a budget so a Mac is out. What about a Chromebook? Leo says that a Chromebook is great because he could use Android apps now. There are Android apps that are just as capable of photo editing as Photoshop. Snapseed, for instance.

It could be pointing to the wrong drive as a default disk. The chatroom found this thread from feedback.photoshop.com. The only solution there would be to install it on a smaller drive, but Leo says she could partition her current drive and install Photoshop to the smaller partition.

What's the best website to learn Photoshop? Leo says that Lynda.com is the best he knows of, but they are a sponsor. Leo also says that Adobe has plenty of tutorials through Creative Cloud, and there's plenty of good books. But for well produced tutorial videos, Lynda is Mark's best bet. It's about $30 a month.

YouTube and Apple's iTunes U are other options.

Why do my website images have artifacts?

Leo says that the artifacts he's seeing may be due to low light or highly compressed images. He recommends trying to take photos with a better camera. Or, take the subject out of the image using Photoshop.
