Alex is thinking about buying the Amazon Fire Phone. Leo says that while he doesn't recommend it, it does have some interesting features including a MayDay feature, and 4 cameras that can track your face and keep the screen at the optimal setting. But all in all, it's more of a gimmick than a legitimately solid phone.

Leo finally got his Amazon Fire phone, after only receiving the phone's box last weekend from AT&T. If you had ordered it the day it came out, you could have gotten it on Thursday, which is a day earlier than originally scheduled. If you've used the Amazon Fire tablet, then you'll already be familiar with the phone's interface. It's very Amazon specific. It has a few interesting things, like a dedicated camera button.
Amazon's announced a new 'Fire' Phone that they say is 3D, but isn't really 3D. It's using a technique called Dynamic Perspective, that Leo says is gimmicky. It uses 4 cameras in each corner, reads the position of your head to the screen, and then modifies the image on the phone to change perspective.
