Motorola recently announced the second version of its Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch, with many design and internal improvements. Like the Moto smartphones, the Moto 360 can be built to your liking with the Moto Maker. There is a men's and women's version, and the men's watch comes in either 42mm or 46mm. There are two different designs to choose from for the bezel, and three color options -- black, silver, or gold. You can also customize the color of the case with either of those three colors. As for the band, there are two leather colors and three metal band colors.
This year's Moto 360 has a higher pixel dense screen, at 263ppi with a resolution of 360x325. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. It has 4GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM. The 42mm watch has a 300mAh battery, which Motorola says can achieve 1.5 days of mixed use. The slightly larger 46mm watch has a 400mAh battery, which Motorola claims can get up to 2 days of mixed usage.
Moto 360 has a heart rate sensor, an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope for the health tracking capabilities, and a haptics engine for alerts. While the watch runs the Android Wear operating system, it is compatible with both Android and iPhone.
