The Surface Pro 4 is the latest tablet/laptop hybrid from Microsoft. It has a 12.3" PixelSense™ display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 (267 PPI) and weighs just 1.69lbs. It has a kickstand that allows it to be positioned at multiple angles, and the optional Type Cover gives it a physical keyboard so it can be used like a laptop. The Surface Pro 4 runs Windows 10 Pro as well, making it capable of running desktop software.
The Surface Pro 4 has a 6th generation Intel Core m3, i5, or i7 processor and 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB of RAM depending on the configuration. It can achieve up to 9 hours of battery life, which was tested with video playback. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
Surface Pro 4 has a 5 MP front-facing HD camera, and an 8 MP rear-facing autofocus camera capable of 1080p HD video recording. There are stereo microphones and speakers as well. Ports and connections include a full size USB 3.0 port, a microSD card reader, headset jack, Mini DisplayPort, Cover port and SurfaceConnect™.
The price starts at $899 for the Intel Core m3 processor. The Intel Core i5 processor costs $999, while the top of the line model has an Intel Core i7 processor for $1,599.
