Dell's new XPS 13 was one of the first laptops to feature Intel's latest 5th generation Broadwell processor. It also sports a brand new "Infinity" display, significantly reducing the bezel to 5.2mm. This means it packs a 13-inch display into the size of a typical 11-inch laptop. It is just 9 to 15mm thick and is 2.6 pounds.
The New Dell XPS 13 is precision-cut from a single block of aluminum, with carbon fiber on the palm rests. You can either get the FHD display, which is 1920x1080, or you can opt for the UltraSharp QHD+ resolution screen at 3200x1800. There's also an option for a touch display. Battery life on the New Dell XPS 13 differs depending on the model you get -- the FHD display can achieve up to 15 hours, while the QHD+ can get 11 hours of use.
The New Dell XPS 13 comes with a 128GB SSD, although the higher end models have the option to upgrade to 256GB. It has either 4GB or 8GB of onboard memory, depending on the model. All of the models come with Windows 8.1 pre-installed, and Microsoft will be offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 later this year.
The New Dell XPS 13 starts at $799, with the top end model coming in at $1,299. There are also more customization options at Dell's website.
