Google Maps Shows Giant Camera Test Charts All Over US

Used to calibrate airplane cameras, Google Maps has found gigantic camera calibration targets all over the US, with the greatest concentration at Edwards Air Force Base in the high desert of California. According to Peta Pixel, camera-equipped aerial vehicles can fly over the giant charts and use them to test, calibrate, and focus their cameras while traveling at various altitudes and speeds.
